Big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Golf Classic
This year's 31st Annual Golf Classic is on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Canyon Ridge Golf Course.
Thanks to our golfers and sponsors, last year's annual tournament was a success! The 2016 tournament was in memory of Ed Jolley, Sr. and Paul F. Brock. They were long-time board members and supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters and its mission.
Each year, teams of four get together to help make a difference in the life of children in the Chattanooga area. This fundraiser allows us to continue serving the children who currently have a Big Brother or a Big Sister. It also enables us to reach out to the children who are on our waiting list. Thanks for helping Start Something in our community. We hope to see you at this year's tournament!
Its an annual fundraiser designed to provide financial support to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga by donating the program cost to support a match for one year. For a yearly donation of $1,000, a donor becomes the sponsor of one of our matches. This is how much it costs to bring a match together and keep it going for one year.
Inititially, the $1,000 covers the expenses of training a volunteer, conducting police and reference checks and conducting in-home interviews with both the Big and Little. After the first year, $1,000 underwrites the cost of having a professional caseworker supervise the match and provide continued support and guidance. It also helps with activities the agency holds around twice a month for matches.
Great Times for a Great Cause!
Every dollar helps put more caring volunteers into the lives of children in our community.
