Position Summary

The Corporate Partnerships and Special Events Manager is a full-time position that is responsible for maintaining and growing a special event portfolio and developing and supporting important corporate relationships that result in both funding and volunteers. This position reports directly to the Chief Development and Marketing Officer.

Essential Job Duties

General

  • Work with the Executive Director and Chief Development and Marketing Officer to lead strategy and execution of agency growth.
  • Participate in team and program events throughout the year including team meetings, program activities, and full staff meetings.
  • Assist with recruitment, activities, and other agency group events as needed.
  • Stay current on program initiatives, training opportunities, and volunteer training updates from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

Special Events

  • Refine special events strategy and develop Event Committees for fundraising events.
  • Plan and manage the major fundraising events to include: budget management, acquisition, cultivation and retention of event participants, solicit corporate sponsorships, logistics, pre-and post- event follow up, committee recruitment and management of event committee(s), maintain timeline on design/creative for event materials, etc.
  • Develop relationships and work closely with Board, Event Chairs, Committees, and honorees.
  • Track and manage ticket sales/sponsorships, draft correspondence and solicitation mailings, capture new donor information and executive sponsorship benefit elements.
  • Coordinate and deliver donor-centered communications for events and appeals.
  • Process and acknowledge gifts using Salesforce in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with the agency stewardship plan.
  • In collaboration with the Chief Development and Marketing Officer, plan and execute Donor Appreciation events throughout the year.
  • Plans and executes three major match activities each year including the Spring Fling, Halloween Event, and Holiday party.

Corporate Partnerships

  • Steward existing corporate relationships and identify strategic opportunities to maximize the impact of those relationships.
  • Seek out networking opportunities and actively work to build new relationships.
  • Builds partner/sponsor loyalty through effective and reliable communication with partners.
  • Develop and implement strategy for corporate revenue generation and corporate volunteer engagement.
  • Lead identification, cultivation, and stewardship efforts for corporate partnerships.
  • Identify and leverage corporate matching gift programs to maximize donor gifts.
  • Ensure local implementation of appropriate national corporate fundraising opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records in Salesforce.
  • Work with the Chief Development and Marketing Officer to conduct yearly review and assessment of corporate partnership program.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Non-Profit experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
