Position Summary 

The Enrollment and Matching Specialist position is a full-time position responsible for overseeing and supporting youth, volunteers, and parents/guardians through the Enrollment process. This includes interviewing and assessing to determine eligibility and make appropriate matches. This position reports directly to the Chief Program Officer. This is a hybrid role requiring a blend of virtual and on-site work.This job requires some evening/weekend work in order to be flexible with volunteer/family schedules.

Essential Job Duties 

General 

  • Ensures high-level expertise in applying child safety and risk management knowledge, policies and procedures throughout all aspects of job functions.
  • Participates in team and program events throughout the year including team meetings, program activities, and staff meetings.
  • Assists with recruitment, fundraising, and other agency group events as needed.
  • Maintains up-to-date, accurate and detailed documentation and database records according to Big Brothers Big Sisters standards.
  • Supports a culture of philanthropy by identifying and fostering potential donor relationships, potential corporate/business/community partnerships and engaging in events which benefit the agency.
  •  Shares with the Development Team potential partnership relationships as discovered through volunteers’ and parents’ employers and affiliations.
  • Assists with grant reporting as pertaining to program area.
  • High degree of collaboration with other program staff to ensure smooth transition among functions.
  • Carries out additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Enrollment

  • Individually and with team, assesses volunteer and child eligibility to participate in BBBS programming. Conducts volunteer and child enrollments including interviews, home visits, assessments and completion of any other enrollment processes.
  • Reviews enrollment information and assessments and make recommendations for volunteer and child participation in the program based on this information. Assess and apply factors contributing to a successful match.
  • Works with the Enrollment and Matching team to determine matches and facilitate match meetings to set the tone of a successful match with the highest level of customer service.
  • Assesses volunteer eligibility to participate in BBBS programming. Conduct volunteer enrollments including interviews, home visits and completion of any other enrollment processes.
  • Conducts client enrollments including parent/child interviews, child safety education, and other enrollment processes.
  • Reviews and follows-up on references as necessary to gain additional data to complete the assessment process.
  • Adheres to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s Standards of Practice and Service Delivery Model in all enrollment processes.

Recruitment

  • Works with the Recruitment Team to align with the strategic vision and plan for agency-wide recruitment of youth and volunteers.
  • Recruits program participants by implementing and participating in outreach strategies to recruit children and volunteers.
  • Provides accurate descriptions of programs and services and convey realistic expectations to interested parties.

Enrollment

Key Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in social work or related human services
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Belief in Big Brothers Big Sisters mission and potential of the youth we serve
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office/Office 365
  • Ability to adapt to new technology tools (Salesforce and Dialpad are two major tools in this role)
  • Ability to develop trust and rapport among youth clients and guardians
  • Ability to multi-task between tasks and projects

A personal reason behind applying for this job was to be able to connect with Hispanic families in our community, as I have recently moved to the Greater Chattanooga area. Hiring: Bradley County Program Specialist

The Bradley County Program Specialist is a part-time (30 hours/week) position that works with the Program team to implement all program services within Bradley County. This includes collaboration with local partners and developing new partner relationships to implement services and recruit volunteers. This position is responsible for supporting volunteer mentors and mentees in mentoring relationships including providing ongoing guidance and support to Littles, Parents/Guardians, and Volunteer Bigs on a regular basis.
