UTC Bigs is an organization on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga that provides students with an opportunity to positively impact the youth of our community through an affiliation with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga. Since its inception in late 2016, the “club” has risen to 160 members, making it one of the largest non-Greek organizations on campus. Most members are also serving as a Big Brother or Big Sister in either our Site-Based or Community-Based Program, but that is not a requirement to become a club member.
UTC Bigs hosts two major events each school year. During the fall semester, there is a Fall Fling where children who are on the waiting list to get a Big Brother or Big Sister will participate in field day events on campus alongside the university students.
UTC Bigs Bowling Bash is a fundraiser that takes place in the spring and raises money to help support the agency. UTC Bigs meets bi-weekly in the University Center, generally the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:00 p.m.
